Z-West and ZMS Kids!
Hey guys ;p Welcome to the ZSRU site. I’m glad that you’ve taken interest in our group and what we do.
you guys will be in high school sooner than you think, and taking on a lot more jobs and responsibilities. I'm sure you roll your eyes at your parents when they say that--I was a middle school kid once too--but the truth is, you really will be in a much bigger world once you hit 9th grade. but that’s not really a bad thing. There are a lot of ways for you to express yourself and explore your interests in high school. You might find that french club or the lacrosse team or even spell bowl are your thing, and that’s awesome. you’re getting to the time where you can try whatever you want and find what your niche is.
If you find that you’re the type of kid who likes to see things change into something better, who is not afraid to meet new people or try new things, and who prides themselves on being just a little different, then you sound like a member of the zsru. Leadership is your niche.
Right now the zsru is concentrated mostly in the high school, but hey, you guys are students too. one of my goals is to see increased community participation in the ZSRU, especially with the middle schools. who knows, you might be a future me.
